Sunday Inspiration newsletter #2
Thanks for the fantastic response to my Sunday Inspiration! I’m so pleased that you felt changes even if they were only small ones.
[box] “Life created me to be fulfilled. I trust life, and life is always there at every turn. I am safe. ” – Louise Hay[/box]
I love this picture. I am drawn to nature as well as anything that is moving forward. Too often we are stuck in the past and miss out on living in our present or even moving into our future. This powerful picture is inspiration to move forward today.
[box] “Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when you riding through the ruts, don’t complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy. Don’t bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality. Wake Up and Live!” Bob Marley[/box]
When the past torments us, or is a place where we choose to live, we miss out on the beautiful daily blessings that are already in our life. Dr Victor Frankl, founder of Logotherapy (meaning centered counseling) survivor of the Holocaust said, [box] “For the meaning of life differs from man to man, from day to day and from hour to hour. What matters, therefore, is not the meaning of life in general but rather the specific meaning of a person’s life at a given moment.”[/box] Logotherapy helps people find meaning in their lives. It encourages you to ask, “What now?” instead of “Why me?” Are you ready to get back on track this week? Are you ready to move into your future? Let this picture inspire you…
[box] “The forest is a peculiar organism of unlimited kindness and benevolence that makes no demands for its sustenance and extends generously the products of its life activity; it affords protection to all beings, offering shade even to the axe-man who destroys it.” Buddha[/box]
Sometimes we find ourselves in the forest. It can be a dark dark place. At times like this it is inspiring to know that the sun shines in to the darkness and trickles through. So too, in our lives, when we feel difficulty, we can gain inspiration knowing that there is sunshine out there and we can invite it in.
Step outside of your life for a moment and look at it as if your were an outsider.
[box] “Problems cannot be solved with the same mind set that created them.” Albert Einstein[/box]
[box] “Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass the world is too full to talk about.” Rumi[/box]
I hope you enjoy today’s inspiration. Take a few moments to notice nature today and let it warm you up. My favorite drink is hot water, especially in this cold wet weather. Delicious on its own or mixed with slices of fresh ginger and lemon or with a stick of cinnamon.
